I'm a South African journalist with 20 years of experience. I’m based in Cape Town and cover a range of topics, but typically sway towards travel, business, and disinformation.
My work appears in News24, Financial Mail, Business Insider, and other leading publications. I also appear regularly on radio stations to discuss my stories and investigations.
In 2025, I founded South Africa's only full-time disinformation and fact-checking desk within South Africa’s largest and most trusted newsroom, News24, while still freelancing widely and covering various topics when time allows.
In its first year, my work at the disinformation desk picked up two regional Vodacom Journalist of the Year awards, in the categories of Politics and Innovation in Journalism. In 2026, my OSINT investigation that unmasked a global disinformation network based in India won silver at the World Association of News Publishers Digital Media African Awards.
